Barry is the lead for the Everyday Banking business at RBS, accountable for the programme to transform PBB into a customer experience led business

Barry has recently been appointed to lead the Everyday Banking business for Personal & Business Banking (PBB), which owns all of the customer journeys related to current account and rewards, savings and transactions. Barry is also accountable for the programme to transform PBB into a customer experience led business, through the stand up of End to End Customer Journey Management for PBB customers.

Prior to his recent appointment, Barry held the position of MD, Customer Experience PBB, where he had ownership of customer experience strategy, learning, customer segmentation and operational planning.

He has been with the RBS for 15 years, during which he has held leadership roles in Risk & Remediation in Products & Marketing, Human Resources, Branch Banking, Private Banking and Change Management.

Prior to joining RBS, Barry spent 10 years with National Australia Bank in Wholesale Banking, Strategy and Business Banking, and 2 years with Barclays where he was Head of Learning Design & Delivery.

Barry is an economist who also holds a First Class Honours MBA from the Edinburgh Business School.
