  • Banks & Building Societies (82.0) is the highest rated sector for the first time
  • 6 sectors are up by more than 1 point compared to July 2025
  • 38.9% of consumers agree that their personal finances will be better in 12 months, down by 3.8 percentage points compared to 6 months ago
  • Good value, competitive pricing, quality of product or service and being easy to deal with have become more important for many customers in the last 6 months
  • 277 organisations or organisation types have received a UKCSI score

Description

The UKCSI is based on an online survey of over 15,000 consumers, who are representative of the UK adult population by region, age and gender. The July 2026 UKCSI comprises 59,500 customer experiences and each UKCSI incorporates two sets of data to create a rolling measure of customer satisfaction. The July 2026 UKCSI includes responses from surveys conducted between 17 September to 17 October 2025 and 9 March to 7 April 2026. Customers are asked to rate their experience of dealing with a specific organisation in the previous three months. Customers rate only one organisation per sector.

The July 2026 UKCSI shows the state of customer satisfaction in the UK, with insight about key issues and trends affecting customer experience and examines their latest financial results. It includes customer satisfaction results for 13 sectors and 277 organisations and organisation types, and examines how customer attitudes and buying behaviours are influenced by perceptions about business practices and reputation.
