Graham Edwards OBE has been Chief Executive since start up in 2005, following the acquisition of the Wales & South West gas distribution networks from National Grid. The company owns and operates a network of 35,000 kilometres of pipework, covering almost 20% of the UK and serving a population of 7.5 million people. It has revenues of over £400 million per annum and an asset value of more than £2 billion.

Graham spent his early career in the manufacturing sector working with a number of international companies – notably in the highly competitive automotive and white goods sectors. During his varied career he has held senior positions across a range of business disciplines – including Engineering, Production and Human Resources – prior to his latter roles as a business leader. Graham moved into the Utility sector soon after privatisation, and has run water and electricity operating businesses prior to setting up Wales & West Utilities in 2005.

As well as being a VP of the Institute, Graham is a board member of Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and the University of South Wales. He is a previous Chair of CBI Wales and Business in the Community Wales.
