The opportunity for you

A new and exciting role has become available to support the business as we go through a period of growth. This is a superb opportunity to join a unique, successful and growing business and make a really positive commercial impact. We require a self motivated, driven, tenacious and dynamic Account Director to manage member accounts in Scotland and the North of England.

This role will report into the Senior Client Relationship Director and you will be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of designated accounts primarily in Scotland , North of England as well as 3 accounts in Northern Ireland to drive member engagement and demonstrate the return on investment of the membership.

• Being a ‘critical friend’, demonstrate and provide customer service knowledge, insight, practical support and access to wider resources, to help Members develop and implement their customer service strategies as part of their business plans and drive tangible business impact within their organisations.

• Acting as the main conduit between the Member and The Institute, maintaining the overall ownership of the Member relationship at all times.

• Supporting members effectively access an d utilise the full range of products and services available to them both within and outside their membership.

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant experience in account management

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels including Senior Executives.

• Strong negotiation & influencing skills and speaks with authority so that others listen – both internally and externally.

• High energy & hard working

• Gravitas, impact, credibility and influence at various levels

• Strong and wide strategic awareness of customer service best practice and trends

• Ability to engage quickly with Members’ strategic and long term business / customer service issues

• High level facilitation and influencing skills with executive / senior management groups

• High levels of emotional intelligence (skilled in perceiving, understanding and managing emotions).

• A clean drivers licence and access to a car

The opportunity for you

This is an exciting time for an experienced EA/HR Assistant to join us during a time of growth. Within this role you’ll be highly organised ensuring the smooth running of the CEO office through providing administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Assistant and Head of HR.

The main responsibilities within this role include:

• Collation and distribution of papers for specified committees, including Director Team, Board and Vice Presidents, to ensure papers are received in advance of meetings by the agreed deadline.

• Where appropriate deputise for the EA in taking minutes and maintaining notes of specified committees so that accurate information is saved and stored appropriately.

• Take responsibility for booking travel and accommodation for the CEO and expenses.

• Ensure the CEO has all relevant briefing documentation and packs so she is fully prepared for external and internal meetings.

• Support the Head of HR with the maintenance of all HR paperwork including: Preparing sickness and absence reports and holiday requests and run HR management information

• Prepare all new starter documentation and core induction packs, to ensure a smooth transition into the organisation for all new employees.

• Undertake pre-employment checks on all new starters

• Liaise with Finance Manager to ensure prompt and accurate processing of payroll actions and ensure payroll deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previously worked within a commercial environment 

• Be highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines

• Be able to work with confidential and sensitive information

• Has previously worked with Senior Managers

• Strong communication and influencing skills (particularly over the telephone)

• Confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic

• Previous experience working with a central support function.

• Able to deal with sensitive and confidential data
