Events and Public Affairs Manager

This is a permanent role based in our London offices. The role will be 35 hours, 5 days a week, 9 - 5 Monday to Friday.

The salary for this role is £40,000 - £45,000.

The opportunity for you

A new opportunity has become available within our Marketing & Communications Team for an Events & Marketing Executive to join us on a permanent basis

Purpose of role

Review, enhance and manage our Events programme with the aim of raising our profile, enhancing member and non-member engagement and increasing revenue .

Work with the Marketing & Communications Director to define and implement the Events and Public Affairs strategies

What we are looking for:

Knowledge

Thorough knowledge of events management and event marketing

Sound knowledge of and interest in UK politics and public policy issues especially those relating to business

Purpose of role

• To manage the development, life-cycle management and delivery of new and in-life products and services through the value propositions, and manage the integrated world-class service experience for our Members.

• To develop, deliver and review The Institute’s accreditation, standards and quality frameworks for new and existing products and services, ensuring integrity and consistency of standards is defined and maintained.

• To oversee the management and end-to end delivery of the Institute’s new and in-life product and service portfolio

• To support the Marketing & Communications Team with a range of activities relating to our product portfolio

What we are looking for:

Knowledge

• An awareness of modern marketing techniques including campaign management, digital & social channels and lead generation

Skills (essential)

• Planning and project management skills to ensure implementation of effective product plans on time and within budget

• Highly numerate and able to use data to inform strategy and improve product performance

• Accomplished oral and written communications in English to produce concise and impactful business case papers, product copy and promotional material

• Delivers to time and budget in line with project management principles

• Strong commercial acumen• Excellent stakeholder and supplier management and ability to manager stakeholders including CEO, Director team, Client Development team and suppliers

A new opportunity has become available within our Insight Consultancy Team for an Research Executive to join us on a permanent basis

Purpose of role

This is a hands-on role within our growing team and the right candidate will be keen to roll up their sleeves and support the research consultants in all aspects of insight project delivery; from helping shape proposals, to research design, set up and fieldwork through to analysis and pulling out key insights and client recommendations for a range of B2c and B2B clients. You will have exposure to both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and receive considerable on the job training, client exposure as well formal skills training.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an exceptionally bright and ambitious graduate looking to pursue a career in Market Research and insight. You will be keen to learn about all aspects of the research and insight industry and willing to get stuck into live projects from day one. You will need to have considerable experience at data analysis and a good understanding about different research methodologies but be hungry to learn more and add to your own skills. We are looking for someone who can be confident to liaise with suppliers and clients and be pro-active in their approach to problem solving

Exceptional academics – degree level
