Paul Morrison is the Director General for Immigration and Citizenship Service at the Home Office.
Before this he served as Director General for Visas, Passports, Citizenship and Resettlement Services at the Home Office from January 2026 until April 2026.
Paul had previously served as Chief Executive of the Planning Inspectorate from December 2022.
He began his civil service career in 1996 as an administrative officer in the Home Office and has since held a range of operational and policy roles across several government departments, including the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the Home Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), and the Northern Ireland Office.
