Joe is the Operations Director for Octopus Energy GB. Joe leads a team of about 2,500 colleagues who are responsible for all aspects of operations for Octopus’ 7.5m energy customers in Great Britain.
Joe’s team covers a really broad range of operations for their energy customers. The team increasingly support customers with new energy tech, smart tariffs and low carbon products like solar panels, EVs, batteries and heat pumps. At the same time, the team looks after customers in vulnerable situations – including financial difficulty – as energy costs remain a significant outgoing for many households. Across all customers, Octopus aim to provide “outrageously good service”.
Before joining the energy industry in 2019 Joe worked for 5 years for Google in the Strategy and Operations team, and spent the first 10 years of his career as a consultant at Bain & Company. He lives in London with his wife and three daughters.
