Head to Head with Gareth Turpin (Virgin Media O2)

As a Chief Commercial Officer, Mobile at Virgin Media O2, Gareth is responsible for the commercial performance of the O2, Virgin Mobile and giffgaff brands, as well as for defining the UK distribution and service strategy for mobile and fixed mobile convergence.
In 2017 Gareth became a member of the Executive Team for Telefónica (O2) UK Limited as Sales Director, with responsibility for all consumer and SMB sales and retention channels, customer service and accountability for O2’s supply chain function.
He joined Telefónica (O2) UK Limited in 2001 as Head of Incident, Problem and Change and moved into strategic, transformation and operational leadership roles in operations, sales and customer service.
Gareth is a Customer Advisory Board member for the digital engagement platform Vizolution, and an Industry Advisory Board Member for the Contact Centre Association, an organisation that identifies future trends and behaviours.
